Join Amanda’s Adventure

I’m Amanda Alissa Serna-Leon, American Polo Player, Neuro-Growth Mindset Mentor, Serial Entrepreneur & Investor, and a Badass Babe of Adventure. I know, I don’t fall neatly into a box, but I recently exhausted myself trying to make myself digestible or less shiny for the comfort of others.

Every year I’m embarking on another adventure of a lifetime, and it is my sincere hope that you join me. I don’t know where to begin telling you about me. I’ve packed so much life into my short 34 years on earth. It is my profound belief that life is meant to be lived, deeply and extraordinarily

For me, this manifested in many ways. I’ve quit the corporate world many times to start companies that have both floundered and flourished. I’ve moved to foreign countries without knowing a soul or speaking the language, picking up skills like polo and scuba diving. Sabbaticals entailed snorkeling with schools of sharks in the islands of the Galapagos and dodging hungry bears during a 3-month solo national park camping trip. I’ve fallen in and out of love with people and places. My heart and my mind slowly fell into step with each other about what I should do and what I wanted to do.

Like a desperate dating profile, I could list all of the exotic adventures I’ve taken or countries I’ve traversed, but honestly, all of this showmanship fluff is nonsense. Because all of the accolades and accomplishments in the world cannot define you or me. Only the way we treat others and make them feel defines us.

Here is my invitation to you. Join me. Do not spend another moment playing small, shrinking for the comfort of others, or living a life that is less than the one your heart truly desires.

Come along on what I promise will be a wild, turbulent ride through life. The African proverb says it best, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” So come with me! Take my hand. Let’s grow and adventure together. You know you want to do it!

As K. Ravikant put it so succinctly, “If you truly and deeply loved yourself, what would you do?” I think you’d throw caution to the wind and come with me. You’d step into the fullness of your purpose. You would shine brightly, even if it blinded people.

Together we’ll continue our adventure through the jungles of Asia to the deserts of America. It does not matter if you don’t like polo, traveling, or neuroscience. I believe my message is beyond these things. It’s about realizing that dress rehearsal is over; this is the Big Show.

You don’t need to follow anyone’s script for life. You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. I’m still on the journey to embody what greatness means to me. To live a great life worthy of telling. To build a greater company. To create a greater positive impact on my community, my country, and my planet.

My purpose is to show people that the world is their oyster. To push people to do the things they dream of doing “when the timing is right.” To give people the courage to step off the ledge and into their dreams because it is a little like falling once you truly realize that this is a short life and the best time is actually right damn now.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the constant growth from teachers. I’d love to recognize them here. Thank you for the late-night motivation calls, the places to crash for the night, and the way you show up for me whenever I need you there. I couldn’t do it without you.
