The short answer: Roseland Polo plays at King Family Vineyards in Crozet, Virginia, west of Charlottesville, and it's free to watch. Sunday matches run from Memorial Day weekend through the end of October. Gates open at 10 a.m., and play starts at noon. It drew the most people I've ever seen at a polo game, spread across a hillside next to a winery.
These notes come from my 2021 and 2022 tour, when I tried to visit every polo club in America as a playing USPA member. Seasons, contacts, and prices change, so check each club's Instagram or the U.S. Polo Association before you go.

My visit
The most people I've ever seen at a polo game. The crowd spread out across the hillside, and the polo was free. Bonus: an army captain fixed my car while I was there.
Why free polo is smart business
Roseland makes its money on wine sales, and the polo is free. It's one of the smartest models I saw on my tour of every polo club in America.
Here's why it works. Free polo removes the reason to say no. A crowd on a hillside on a Sunday afternoon buys wine and reserved spots, and the vineyard gets a reason for people to come back every week of the season. Polo becomes the draw, and the business pays for it.
Clubs that charge at the gate and wonder why the stands are empty should study this. I wrote more about it in how to market a polo club, and it's the kind of problem we solve at Unrth.
Tips for a Sunday at Roseland
Arrive early for a good tailgate spot, or reserve one.
Check the vineyard's social media before you go. Weather and field conditions can cancel play.
Dress for a vineyard lawn. See what to wear to a polo match.
Learn the basics first. Read polo rules explained on the drive.
Want to play, too? Seneca Polo Club and Congressional Polo Club in Poolesville, Maryland, are a few hours north.
